T12-9501 soldering iron kit build - wiring (DIY)

Image
in this video im showing how i wired my 9501 (T12) soldering iron i bought sometime ago and came as a kit.  caution!! the connector wiring shown in this video might be not compatible with your soldering station so please dont think that this wiring is universal. check your station pinout first or you may damage something.

T12 SOLDERING STATION USING ARDUINO ( DIY )

Image
new project - video ATmega SolderingStation in this video im presenting a soldering station i built that takes advantage the quick heating t12 tips. it uses very cheap components that are easy to find.you may built it either using an arduino or using an atmega chip, pcb & firmware provided in the project page. schematics-firmware-pcb and info here https://easyeda.com/wagiminator/z-sol... this video is NOT sponsored by any company.i just built it and if anyone is interested can built it too since it is open source. soon im going to make a second video showing the menus and calibration procedure with more details.

low battery indicator circuit

Image
this is a very usefull circuit if you're building projects powered by batteries.this simple circuit informs you when the battery needs to be recharged by turning on a led.the threshold is set to the desired voltage by a multiturn potentiometer. the only thing you should have in mind is that it doesnt work with red led's,at least with the ones i tryied. i think it has something to do with the very low voltage that red led's need to lit.didnt have the time to experiment further.besides that, the circuit works perfect. components needed: R1= 1k (2,2k if you use smd led) R2= 2.2K U2= TL431 adjustable shunt regulator(can be found very easy in power supplies) PR1=10K potentiometer (for higher precision use multiturn)  LED1= led (not red-didnt work with me) here is a video building it.

led tv backlight tester

Image
a very usefull circuit for every tv technician. this device provides the various voltages we need to test backlight led arrays or single led's.

HOW TO MAKE A PCB - TONER TRANSFER METHOD

diy power bank kit assembly

Image
watch how i assembled a diy power bank kit bought from e-bay.the case can hold 5 batteries 18650 wired all in parallel.the case includes the pcb for the power bank and the casing.(no batteries included).you have to use your own batteries.

DYNACORD F150 PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER TEARDOWN

Image
inspecting a common failure in many professional speakers.teardown of DYNACORD F150. A very succesfull speaker for many years and very reliable..i managed to find 2 different faults.

DC MOTOR DRIVER CIRCUIT WITH L9110 IC

Image
a very simple circuit that controlls a dc motor and can change its rotation direction. it uses the L9110 and it doesnt require any external components, only the ic and the necessary conections. The L9110 comes in two packages.DIP8 & SOP8.in the video i used the SOP8 package so i had to use a small pcb adaptor SOP8 TO DIP8 bought from e-bay to make the wiring.. it is ideal for projects that you want to control the direction rotation of a motor using arduino or any other microprocessor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- if you like this video please hit the like button and share it. ***** please consider subscribing to this channel *****

here is a project i made some time ago and currently using it for electronics inspection. if you're interested about more projects like this please subscribe to my channel

cheap regulator test AMS1117-5 are they any good??

Image
today in this video i'm testing a low dropout voltage regulator bought from e-bay.  the AMS1117-5 is a fixed voltage low dropout regulator and according to the datasheet can provide 5 volts output at 1amp max .the operating voltage is up to 15volts max. watch the video and please comment: is it worth buying or not? schematics of the circuit under test.

CHEAP VOLTMETERS TEST WITH AD584 MODULE

Image
in this episode im testing various cheap voltmeters to see how accurate they are with a '' High Precision Voltage Reference Module '' bought from e-bay and based on AD584 ic by analog devices. then i'm trying to calibrate the ones that are out of specs.

ADJUSTABLE ELECTRONIC LOAD PROJECT

Image
in today's episode i will show you how i built an adjustable electronic load.at the end of the video im testing this unit with another great diy project,an adjustable power supply.Electronic loads are very useful for testing power sources. every serious hobbyist or technician should have one.for instance you can check a usb charger or a power supply if it can provide the current it claims or not. schematics   pcb components placement  if you cant understand how the components are placed on pcb you must download this file and install diptrace software to view it.

philips crt tv repair - common failure

Image
repair tip for the philips crt tv 14PT1332/01 CHASSIS L6.1AA. its a very common failure in these models and in other similar philips models too. i hope someone may find it usefull. sorry for the shaky video.it was last moments filming..

DIY UV EXPOSURE BOX - MAKE PCB'S @ HOME

Image
ultraviolet exposure device i built few months ago. it is controled by an arduino pro mini and has a 7 segment display to show the set and remaining exposure time. it uses ultraviolet leds(49 total)bought cheap from ebay. you can wire the arduino and the rest components using the diagram below.this way i made it too.you can connect any common cathode 7 segment display as long as you know witch pin is the segment shown in the diagram.or you can find it by applying about 3volts to each pin to see witch segment lits and write it down.(as i did)or downloading its diagram if exists.. then programm the arduino with the code given in the link below.you can skip the circuit with the mosfet and the optocoupler and connect a 5 volt relay as shown in the diagram(relay output & ground) to controll the leds. if you liked this project please subscribe to my channel for more future projects.... arduino code : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1SK-jNM7jZIcx-jIN8e3rleN_-12L9IQG
